Mouse Hand Warmer Review
by Tonya at Geek Girl Reviews
Thanks to the folks at IGM products, I got to try out a mouse hand warmer! I got it and said, Lets give this thing a try. It does get chilly in my bedroom at nights. I love it chilly because it helps me breathe better. I tried the hand warmer out and realized it had much more of a use than an actual hand warmer. You know when you type a million words, and your wrist gets tired? I snuggled the hand warmer right near my wrist and it instantly became a heating pad for my wrist! I was excited because..
1. It is usb powered.
2. I did not have to worry about the long cord on my actual heating blanket.
3. When I have my actual heating pad hooked up, sometimes at night like a dummy, I trip over the cord. ( only because i fall asleep and forget to cut it off and my laptop like an idiot)
So if you have cold, achy hands try out this hand warmer! I really enjoy it!
I was recently sent a ValueRays® PINK Warm Mouse III to review. First thing I noticed was the pink ribbon etched into the mouse. A portion of each purchase of the Pink ValueRays® Warm Mouse III will be donated to the American Cancer Society's Fight Against Cancer!
I opened the package and hooked it up to my computer. It took just a few seconds of using it before it started warming my hand. What a difference the heat makes if you're on the computer for a while. I have had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery and this mouse really helps. The only downfall of this mouse is that it is not wireless.
It's snowing in Texas today! No lie! I am sitting in my kitchen, on my computer, typing up this review and watching the snow fall outside my window. Christmas music is playing softly in the background as my toddlers take their afternoon nap. I am drinking a cup of hot coffee and have warm feet due to a nice pair of thick socks. My right hand is nestled on my mouse and my fingers are toasty warm. How you may ask? Am I typing in gloves? Nope! I am using my ValueRays® PINK Warm Mouse III.
The ValueRays® PINK Warm Mouse III is a heated computer mouse, an ergonomic multi-function computer mouse with enhanced ergonomic shape and massaging infrared heat. Help prevent the onset of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and Cumulative Trauma Disorder (CTD) by working a different set of muscles using the large ergonomic design with deep penetrating infrared heat.
I love the shape. For lack of a better description, this ergonomic computer mouse is taller and seems to support my hand in a more comfortable position than my old mouse. I also like that when the weather warms up or I don't want the heat on, I can easily turn it off. Sure comes in handy right now though. You might remember I reviewed another nifty product from ValueRays awhile back called the ValueRays® USB Mouse Hand Warmer®, which essentially is a mini electronic blanket for your mouse hand. You can read my full review of that product here.
Wouldn't either of these products or even one of their Warm Keyboard Pads, make a nice Christmas gift or stocking stuffer?
No more mouse hand!
By Beth at My Adventures in Mommyland
I live in Maine. For all of you who have never been here, we have 3 seasons, Mud season, Black fly season and Frickin cold season. The latter lasts about 9 months. So needless to say I am constantly looking for ways to keep warm! My office is particularly freezing so I am always suffering from "Mouse hand". "What is that?" You ask. Well Mouse hand is the technical term for when your hand nearly freezes off because you have been sitting on your butt for far too long with your hand on your mouse staring at the computer screen.
For the longest time I thought the only cure for mouse hand was to place it directly on my husbands cozy chest and watch him scream like a little girl. Boy was I was wrong! The good people over at ValueRays (they must of heard his screams!) sent me a USB Mouse Hand Warmer to review.
This is the BEST product I have seen in FOREVER!!! I am no longer cold! The Mouse hand warmer looks like a fleece sleeping bag for your hand. To use it, you just plug it into a USB port on your computer, insert your mouse pad and mouse, stick your hand in and surf the web as usual. The description on ValueRays is as follows:
"Mouse Hand Warmer Blanket Pouch – USB Heated. ValueRays® USB Mouse Hand Warmer® is a heated mouse cover - an USB mini electric blanket for the mouse hand. It is a low, steady heat with a carbon fiber infrared heating element sewn inside the double layer of fleece." $19.95
This product is wonderful and my hubby thanks you for it!
ValueRays has many other wonderful products such as: ValueRays® Pink Warm Computer Mouse III

I bet that like me, many of you spend a good portion of your day on the computer. It baffles me sometimes to think that when I was in high school, we didn't even have computers to use in school. It really wasn't until college - and THEN I had to take a course in BASIC. OK, so as usual, I'm showing my age - but that's ok.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of injuries and other maladies that can affect our online time. Especially since we're doing a lot of repetitive motion. As we age, many of us have problems with arthritis (I do), carpal tunnel, and just the cold winter days up north.
ValueRays has developed a MOUSE that will help us ease the pain a bit. The ValueRays Warm Mouse III is ergonomically shaped and emits a massaging infrared heat. As you well know, heat is extremely effective at improving the circulation and eases muscle pain.
I have very small hands - good thing I'm not a guy - DID I SAY THAT? This mouse is quite large and I was concerned that the fit wouldn't be as good as my little mouse, but the fact that it's oval shaped and fits comfortably under the palm, makes it a better fit than I had expected. Still, I'd LOVE to see these come in sizes (I wear children's sized gloves - which tells you how small my hands are).
The WarmMouse III connects to the computer via USB (like any other mouse) and has a heat-level control switch on the cord. You don't have to worry about getting TOO HOT, because it heats up to a gentle 99-104 degrees fahrenheit (so it's WARM not hot).
The mouse that I received came in PINK to remind me about the importance of Finding a Cure for Cancer. ValueRays is donating a portion of each purchase of the Pink ValueRays® Warm Mouse III to the American Cancer Society's Fight Against Cancer!
Overall, I like the idea of a mouse like this, especially for anyone suffering with arthritis in their hands or who are on the computer for long stretches of time. I did find that the button on the side of the mouse was a little "sticky" and it was a bit annoying. It had been pushed in during shipping and it took a while for me to fix it.
The mouse is on sale for $29.95 making it an average value, but considering that a portion of the proceeds go to charity, free shipping, no sales tax and the 90 day warranty - I think it's a fair price.
I'm on the computer a lot. Between reading blogs, writing my own posts, Facebook (and all it's games - curse you FarmVille!), Ravelry, etc, etc.. I'm on the computer a good portion of the time I'm home. One of the worst things about that is that my hands are always freezing. Especially this time of year because we wait until it's 20 below to turn our heat on. Ok, not really. But we do wait as long as we possibly can because oil is expensive!!
So, my hands freeze. I usually wear a pair of fingerless gloves or something like that to make it a little more bearable. Actually, I knitted the "Fetching Fingerless Gloves" in my Ravelry sidebar just so I could wear them while typing and using the mouse. Then, I was contacted by ValueRays and they asked me if I wanted to try out their Warm Mouse III. I was only too happy to accept their offer.
My first thought when taking the pink warm computer mouse out of the packaging was that it's really large. In today's age when iPods are Nano sized and cell phones are so small we all look like crazy people talking to ourselves, I was a little taken aback. However, once I placed my hand on it I was sold! Those teeny tiny mice give me hand cramps! This one was soooo comfy! It has a large oval shape which allows your hand to rest flat and loosely on the mouse without the need to grip tightly which can cause discomfort.
After marveling at the amazing comfort I decided to actually try it out on my computer. This mouse is totally plug and play. No discs, no drivers, no install. Plug it in to any open USB slot on your PC and begin. That's it. My grandmother can even handle that. There's an extra long cord so you should have plenty of slack no matter how your work area is set up. This is an optical mouse so there is no roller ball to collect lint, or dog hair, or cat hair, or anything else. It moves very smoothly on the mousepad and just glides along with minimal effort.
On the cord is this nifty little switch which turns this from a great mouse into an unbelievable mouse! Turn the switch and within a couple of minutes your hand is nice and toasty. The Warm Mouse offers infrared heat which penetrates directly to the muscles of your hand. 20-30 minutes of daily infrared heat therapy can help improve circulation. And, it just feels goooood! Anyone who suffers from arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome or a number of other conditions may benefit from the use of infrared heat and this mouse would be perfect. When you're done with heat or if it's 90 degrees outside, just turn the switch again and the heat is off.
But, the best thing about this mouse, in my opinion, is that a portion of every sale will be donated to the American Cancer Society's Fight Against Cancer. The mouse is pink and features a ribbon on it to show your support for cancer research.
There are only 2 things that I think could be improved on with this mouse. First this mouse is only for right handed users. Sorry lefties but because of the ergonomic design this mouse will not work for you. They don't currently have a lefty version of this specific mouse. Check out the Warm Mouse I instead. Second, I personally prefer a cordless mouse. I think it's just less trouble and mess. I'm not sure how that would really work with the heat so it may be a little unrealistic. The heat would probably drain the batteries of a cordless mouse but I think it would be nice. Having said that, the benefits and comfort of this mouse so outweigh the inconvenience of a cord that I will still use it all the time.

Anyone who sits at a computer most of the day typing can tell you how much havoc it wreaks on their hands, mine are always sore and cold from countless hours spent typing.
When I was given the chance to do a review for ValueRays Pink Warm Mouse III, I was very excited. One of the first things I noticed about the ValueRays Pink Warm Mouse III was how much bigger it is than my normal mouse, that is due to the Pink Warm Mouse’s large ergonomic design. I have to admit that it did take some getting used to before I could use the Pink Warm Mouse comfortably. My hands are pretty small, definitely smaller than the average woman’s hands, so I never have become completely comfortable using the mouse, for me it is a bit awkward and hard to maneuver. I did however, love the warmth that radiated from the mouse, not only did it keep my hands warm it made using the mouse seem easier for me. I also love the fact that this company is dedicated to helping, a portion of the proceeds from every sale of the ValueRays Pink Warm Mouse III is donated to the American Cancer Society, which is awesome!

The ValueRays® Warm Mouse III infrared heat has a massaging effect to soothe aching muscles, relax tension, and reduce stress. It also improves blood circulation and relieves hand pain associated with arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, RSI, CTD, Raynaud’s and other computer-related cold hand pain conditions.
The ValueRays® Warm Mouse III also features a convenient heat-level control on/off dial switch on cord, as well as an 800 dpi scroll wheel. It heats from 99 – 104 degrees Fahrenheit and is safe for people and computers.
What did I think?
Well, when it first arrived I looked at the pink computer mouse and really didn’t have high hopes for it. The design is majorly different than my regular mouse and I worried that I wouldn’t be able to adjust to it, but I opened it and figured I’d give it a shot.
I plugged it in and set my hand on it and I honestly thought it was horribly uncomfortable and almost unplugged it, but since I can’t review something without using it I left it. The first few days were awkward, I just couldn’t get my hand comfortable on the mouse, but the heat was so nice and I really wanted to like it, so I kept using it. Then a few more days went by and amazingly I didn’t notice the angle that the pink computer mouse positions my hand in anymore.
Now, it’s been about a month since I started using the pink computer mouse and I’m not sure how I ever managed using a regular mouse lol. When I help the kids at their computer my hand is uncomfortable and just doesn’t seem to fit on it on it. It was definitely an adjustment to get here, but I’m glad I stuck with it, and the heat is amazing.
From sewing and using the computer all the time my wrists and hands hurt. Between the numbness and the pain, it’s likely carpal tunnel, but I’ve never went to the doctor for it so I can’t say for certain. With this new mouse my right hand seldom hurts at all and my fingers haven’t gone numb in weeks! I don’t know if it’s from the heat or the shape, but either way I’m happy.
The only negative thing I can say about the pink computer mouse is that if you’re left handed, it’s not going to work for you. The description says that it’s for right handed users, but usually that is just a guide with things, but Colby is left handed and he hates the pink computer mouse. He hates it enough that I have a regular mouse plugged into the regular mouse port on my computer for him to use, and sometimes there is a conflict between the two mice and I’ll have to unplug the pink computer mouse and plug it back in for it to work. I’m certain it’s due to having two mice on one computer, and not a defect in the pink computer mouse, but right now it’s the only solution for us.
ValueRays offers computer sccessories that can be used to solve the problem of cold hands in the winter time, or cold hands due to any of these conditions: poor circulation, diabetes, Raynaud's and carpal tunnel. The USB infrared heat produced from these computer accessories relieve the cold and help improve circulation to the affected areas. Studies show about 20-30 minutes of infrared heat therapy daily produce positive results.
ValueRays offers some great items like the Heated Computer Mouse-ValueRays® Warm Mouse, Heated Mouse Pad, Heated Keyboard Pad & Mouse Hand Warmer® which are cost-effective energy-efficient infrared heat USB hand warmers for cold hands when using the computer.
I am almost always cold in my office as the office is kept air conditioned ALL YEAR LONG, and I am always freezing. I will drink hot tea, hot chocolate and hot cider all year long just to keep my hands warm while I work.
But now that I have the ValueRays Warm Mouse I don't have to drink hot beverages all year long. The mouse is great. It plugs into the USB drive of your computer and works like a regular mouse with a scrolling button, but what I like even more is it as an on/off button for the heat. If it's a warm day in the office, which is rare, I can keep it off, but when my hands get cold I can turn on the mouse and it's warm within a minute and keeps my hand warm for as long as I want. You may be wondering what about the other hand? Well Value Rays has another product called the Heated Keyboard pad, which is a pad where you can rest your wrists while you type and this would keep both hands and wrists warm. I'd love to try this product some day as well. I think it's a great invention!
This would be a great gift for those people in your life who have cold hands, or work in drafty offices and could use the extra heat.
Considering that I spend a countless amount of hours on my computer my hands are always in discomfort. Sometime I have to take mini breaks as the pain in my wrist bothers me to the point of not wanting to type. I have tried heat therapies in the past, but it was so time consuming to the point I quit. I know the risk associated with pain and typing however I love being on my PC as it's my way of clearing my head of all the daily stresses in life.
I was given the opportunity to review the ValueRays Pink Warm Mouse courtesy of Value Rays. My first thought was this would not work but to my surprise it helps my pain a lot. Even though my pain is not related to nothing major it does ease it and makes being online more enjoyable. Given that my house is also super cold the warm heat from the mouse makes me feel warmer.
If you know someone who uses their computer a lot this would make a perfect gift to sooth their tired and overworked hands.
Today I am reviewing and doing a giveaway of the ValueRays® Mouse Hand Warmer.
Whenever I use the desktop computer with a mouse my mouse hand get cold. After a hour at the mouse my hand gets uncomfortable cold. Then I touch my husband with my cold hand on his warm arm to show him how cold my hand is. I do this every time. lol
Well no more. This past two weeks I have been trying out the ValueRays® Mouse Hand Warmer.
What is the ValueRays® Mouse Hand Warmer?
Mouse Hand Warmer Blanket Pouch – USB Heated. ValueRays® USB Mouse Hand Warmer® is a heated mouse cover - an USB mini electric blanket for the mouse hand. It is a low, steady heat with a carbon fiber infrared heating element sewn inside the double layer of fleece.
The USB Mouse Hand Warmer® is a blanket pouch made of fleece and a non-slip surface with a USB plug and an infrared heating element. It measures about 12” x 12” and holds just about any size computer mouse and mouse pad. This style Mouse Hand Warmer® uses electricity generated from your computer. There’s one USB cord which is connected to a USB port on your computer, and located on the cord is a safe and easy disconnect to unplug the heated device when not in use.
The USB Mouse Hand Warmer® is a cost-effective and energy-efficient source of infrared heat when the temperatures drop in your office or home work space. The Mouse Hand Warmer® blanket creates a cozy cover for your cold mouse hand. The infrared heating element is positioned in the center of the fleece blanket and keeps the mouse hand warm. It’s like crawling under the covers of an electric blanket on a cold winter’s night. The low, 5V wiring is safe for computers and people.
Slip your favorite computer mouse and mouse pad inside the Mouse Hand Warmer® blanket pouch. The Mouse Hand Warmer® is compatible with an USB mouse or a wireless mouse. If using an USB connected mouse, cut a small slit in the net at the end of the Mouse Hand Warmer®. When using a wireless mouse, the net opening creates a clear optical connection.
The pros~ This does warm your hand.It is soft and roomy. It does not take extra electricity just plug this in a usb port
The cons ~I am lazy forgetful It was easy for me to forget to unplug the hand warmer every time I was done with it.
My hands get extremely cold when I am using my mouse for extended periods of time. My husband laughs at me til I touch his bare skin then he doesn't find it quite so funny. I complained that I needed a heated mouse but was only joking because I did not think there was such a thing, I had seen the bags you stick your hand in but it did not seem convienent for me as I have to be able to move quickly sometimes what with four kids and all and it seemed like that could shave precious seconds off my reaction time. Then I found Warm Mouse and I found love.
Now I have an obsession with all things pink ribbon if you recall in my Brown Bag review and giveaway I explained my mother is a four year breast cancer survivor and ever since her diagnosis I seen to notice and be drawn to all things pink ribbon. The Warm Mouse was no different, when i requested my review I just KNEW I had to do the pink ribbon Value Rays mouse. Taken from the site: Our USB hand warmers are infrared heaters and provide "infrared heat" therapy for computer users with hand pain and cold hands. ValueRays® USB infrared heated warm mouse, heated mousepad, heated keyboard pad and Mouse Hand Warmer® provide deep penetrating infrared heat for the cold mouse hand and cold keyboard hands. ValueRays® USB Hand Warmers provide a healthy way to use the computer! Make the computer work for you, not harm you! Reduce stress. Improve circulation. Keep warm!
I got the mouse and ripped it out of the package immediatly, you see I use a laptop but do not like the touchpad it makes my hand cramp up and so I never use it, and while I am used to a ball mouse I was willing to give this a go and am very glad that i did. I took it out of the package and plugged it into my computer and it automatically installed any necessary drivers and I was immediatly able to use the buttons and the scroll wheel right away without monkeying around with any software etc. My hand has never been warmer, it heats up so fast and keeps my hands super warm and the ergonomic design which is important in this day and age to help prevent all sorts of medical problems like Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and Cumulative Trauma Disorder (CTD) has been a great comfort to me, it works a different set of muscles using the large ergonomic design with deep penetrating infrared heat. The breast cancer mouse is the Value Rays Warm Mouse III, it is the pink model which i know is not for everyone.
The Warm Mouse Value Rays I is for all you manly men who don't want pink (like my husband) and it is a silver model. They also carry the blankets I was talking about to put your hand in as well as a wide range of heated keyboard pads which is placed in front of your computer keyboard and you rest your wrists on it and it helps to keep you warm. They even have a heated mousepad, how awesome is that it would work well with the mouse hand warmer blanket.
The warm mouse Value Rays I (silver) mouse costs $29.95 but is on sale right now for $24.95. The Value Rays III mouse (pink ribbon) costs $39.95 but is currently on sale for $29.95 and has free shipping and no sales taxes - no coupon needed.
ValueRays® warm mouse is something that I heard about and the more I heard about it the more I wanted to try it because one I get freezing hands while on the computer and two because I suffer from Fibromyalgia and tendinitis and typing and using the mouse really irritate it. So when I got the opportunity to test it out I was like yes definitely.
When I received the Pink ValueRays® warm mouse I immediately opened it and hooked it to my computer. I didn't have to install anything. It was plug in and use that simple. I really love the pink color and the breast cancer awareness ribbon on it. I also loved that a portion of the money from each pink mouse sold goes to the American Cancer Society's Fight Against Cancer. That's awesome. I loved the design with the slight tilt to keep your hand at a normal position. I mean the shape and the speed of the pointer with this mouse took some getting use to since it was faster than my last mouse and my fingers were in a different position but after about 2 to 3 days it was like it was meant for my hand and so easy to use. I love the heat! The heat for me is beyond words literally. It is not hot just warm enough to keep my hand comfortable and relaxed. I noticed my tendons in my wrist didn't hurt as much and didn't swell up with alot of typing which is great right now with all this Christmas Best of the Best Bash typing.
I definitely think this mouse owns up to all the hype I have heard. It is now my favorite mouse and I will not give it up for nothing. Even my hubby has tried to steal it for his computer but I refuse to let him have it. Get you own dear! I recommend this for everyone who uses the mouse alot, types alot, has medical issues with the wrists and hands, or cold hands like me. You will love it!
Looking for a great item for that techie on your shopping list? The Value Rays Warm Mouse Hand Warmer is great for gamers, or just those who spend any time on the computer. The Warm Mouse Hand Warmer is like a little blanket for your hand. It is perfect for cold environments, or those with arthritis, poor circulation, carpal tunnel, fibromyalgia, raynauds, diabetes, RSI, and CTD. It is even perfect for someone that just has cold hands like me. The Warm Mouse Hand Warmer is gray with a white non-slip bottom. you insert a standard mouse pad in the bottom. on the front edge there is mesh to help with a infrared wireless mouse. If you are using a corded mouse just cut a small slit in the mesh for the cord to go thru. The Warm Mouse Hand Warmer plugs into your computer with a USB cord.
This is a cool, or should I say warm, gadget. I love gadgets I always have cold hands. I have even been told that people with hands as cold as mine work in morgues. I don't and won't work in a morgue. The Warm Mouse Hand Warmer kept my hand pretty warm. My other hand was jealous. I think this will be a great stocking stuffer. I bet I will have to fight my son for it after Christmas. He is getting computer and is a big gamer. I wish I had this when I lived in Illinois during the winter.
I spend countless hours on my computer every day. I’m a blogger, its what we do. Now that its getting colder here in New England i’m facing the same dilemma that i face every year at this time and throughout the winter. My hand freezes. Its usually my right hand that works the mouse. Well, ValueRays has sent me their Warm Mouse in pink (for breast cancer awareness) to review.
When I received mine, I couldn’t wait to try it out. The first thing I noticed was the shape of the mouse. It actually fits much more comfortably in my hand than my standard mouse. I did however have to stop using it after a couple hours the first time because my bicep started to ache. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing…i need to work those muscles. The dial switch for the heat is very convieniently located on the cord very close to the mouse itself. The mouse heats from 99-104 degrees farenheit. I turned it up all the way (my hands get very cold) and it wasn’t burning or anything. It was a perfect temp for me except my finger tips were still a little cold. My real only complaint about this mouse isthe cord is too short. Its not nearly as long as the cord to my standard mouse.
A portion of the proceeds from each purchase of the Pink ValueRays Warm Mouse III will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Fight Against Cancer!
As a Mommy Blogger, I find myself on the computer quite a bit. I have a laptop, but have never been a fan of the mouse on laptops. That's why I often use a mouse that sits next to the computer that I can use more easily. I have always had poor circulation in my fingers...they get cold very easily, especially with the cold weather Minnesota winters bring. That's why I was very excited have the opportunity to review a USB Mouse Hand Warmer Blanket Pouch from ValueRays.
I was amazed at how soft it was when it arrived in the mail and at how easy it was to use. It's the perfect product, and gift idea, for people who are on their computers a lot. The ValueRays USB Mouse Hand Warmer is a 12 x 12 fleece pouch with a non slip bottom.
It's the perfect size to fit almost any mouse pad and mouse. I found it to be very cozy and easy to use. I appreciated the fact that the heat is infrared, and the wiring is low, 5V, making it safe for computers and people. It made the long amounts of time I'm on the computer more enjoyable as well. Using the USB Mouse Hand Warmer is a cost-effective and energy-efficient way to keep your cold hands warm while using the mouse. It creates a cozy cover, almost like a mini electric blanket.
The Mouse Hand Warmer isn't the only thing Warm Mouse Heated Keyboard offers. They have a variety of ValueRays hand warmer products like a mouse, mouse pad, and more! I would love to have their ValueRays Warm Keyboard Pad.
ValueRays products are all innovative and unique. Any one of them would make fantastic Christmas gifts for the computer users on your list this year!
This mouse is glamtastic! Imagine a heated computer mouse with an enhanced ergonomic shape, massaging infrared heat, and you have the ValueRays Warm Mouse III. I aboslutley love this mouse. I am on the compuet a lot, to say the least. The ergonomic shape helps to keep my hand from getting sore and the infrared heats keeps the hand cramping at bay. And what’s even better is that in comes in pink! Not that pink is my favorite color, but pink is the official color for breast cancer awareness.
From the site: The Pink Computer Mouse by ValueRays® is a heated computer mouse and great gift idea communicating an important message, “Find a Cure for Cancer!” There are over 200 different types of cancers, not including the many varieties of skin cancer. The ValueRays® Pink Warm Mouse III is a healthy source of soothing relief to an overworked mouse hand. It has a new shape to work new hand muscles. The top of the warm computer mouse is shaped like a large tear-drop oval. The bottom of the heated computer mouse is shaped like a kidney bean. The slick, new design gives mousing a whole new perspective. The hand rests ontop of the smooth warm mouse and with effortless motion glides its way across the mouse pad.
Infrared heat is deep healing and penetrates deep through the skin’s layers directly to the muscle tissue. About 20-30 minutes of infrared heat therapy daily helps improve blood circulation to the hand and fingers. Plus, the “larger” oval shape of the Warm Mouse III offers a comfortable flat mouse-hand posture. The mouse hand lays comfortably on top of the oval shape without the need for a tight grip.

I can't tell you how much it STINKS to have Carpal Tunnel. I have Carpal in my right hand/wrist (I'm right handed too). Some days it's OK. Other times it's so painful I don't know what to do. I often sleep with a brace on my wrist when things get really bad.
I have heard about "ergo dynamic" mice for your computer that is suppose to help Carpal Tunnel but I honestly thought they were all a bunch of hype. I have seen a few and honestly I don't see what is that much different about them compared to a regular computer mouse.
Recently a company called ValueRays gave me the opportunity to try out their Warm Mouse III. The Warm Mouse III is an ergonomic multi-function computer mouse with enhanced ergonomic shape and massaging infrared heat. Yes, you read that correctly - it has HEAT! The Warm Mouse III can help prevent the onset of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI), Carpal Tunnel and Cumulative Trauma Disorder (CTD) by working a different set of muscles using the large ergonomic design with deep penetrating infrared heat.
I was very shocked at what the Warm Mouse III looked like when it arrived. First of all it's PINK (more on that later). I actually like having a pink mouse. It adds a splash of color to my otherwise lackluster desk top.
What shocked me most was the shape of the Warm Mouse III. It's hard to see from the pictures but the mouse almost seems like it's tilted on it's side a bit. It really has an odd shape.
The first day I used it just couldn't get used to it at all. I was getting disappointed. However the next morning when I got up I just started using the mouse with no problem at all. I'm NOT a morning person and I am barely awake when I get up. At 6 AM you can find me sipping coffee and checking my e-mails. I didn't even realize I was using the Warm Mouse III until later on that morning. Some how my hand just naturally got used to the odd shape of the mouse.
Now that I am use to the shape I have to say that I do find it a lot more comfortable then a standard mouse. It keeps you hand in a more natural position. Rather then your hand lie flat on the mouse it lies at an angle, which has a more natural feel to it.
Aside from the ergonomic shape the Warm Mouse III does just that...it warms up! There is a switch on the cord that you can use to turn the heat on and off. The Warm Mouse III takes about 2-3 minutes to warm up. The heat is an infrared heat. The heat helps with deep healing and penetrates deep through the skin’s layers directly to the muscle tissue. About 20-30 minutes of infrared heat therapy daily helps improve blood circulation to the hand and fingers. It's also great if you work in a cold office or your naturally have cold hands.
You can use the mouse with or without the heat. I find that 10 minutes is more then enough heat for me. You can adjust according to your personal preferences.
The reason why the Warm Mouse III is pink is to support cancer awareness and research. A portion of each purchase of the Pink ValueRays Warm Mouse III will be donated to the American Cancer Society's Fight Against Cancer.
I got a new MOUSE!! I am so Happy and best of all It’s pretty PINK and Heated! As most of you know I work from home so I am Always on my computer and especially since I work Lovely Overnight hours it is a little bit chilly!
I have never even heard of a heated mouse so I was not really knowing what to expect! My girls was actually fighting over it thinking they was going to get it LOL. I must say I AM IN LOVE!! All you do is Plug the USB connected Warm Mouse cord into a free USB port. Turn the heated mouse “ON” by turning the dial on the heat control located on the cord. The warming mouse will begin to generate heat within a few minutes. Make sure to Turn the heated mouse “OFF” when you are finished using the warm mouse. Do not leave the warm mouse turned-on when not in use. Like any other computer gadget, this is not a toy and should not be used by unsupervised children.
I just told my Friends a few months back That I think I have Carpal Tunnel and of course everyone says well stay off the computer well I can’t do that! That’s My Job! But While using this I can tell My Hands and wrist are not cramping up like before.
ValueRays® is the only USA supplier for this brand new heated mouse design. Its new ergonomic shape fits the hand comfortably and works a different set of hand muscles. Plus, the deep penetrating infrared heat soothes an overworked and strained mouse hand. Don’t suffer with a stiff, cold mouse hand this season. Join the thousands of others who discovered the comfortable and relaxing benefits.
A portion of each purchase of the Pink ValueRays® Warm Mouse III will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Fight Against Cancer!
They stole my idea. But since I’m pretty pathetic with mechanics and electronics not to mention legal situations at least now I can buy one of these. The ValueRays Warm Mouse III ($29.95) and its companions the Warm Mouse Pad, Warm Mouse Blanket and Warm Keyboard Pad can provide some well needed infrared heat now that winter is coming. And I know no one believes me, but when it is cold outside your hands become colder at the keyboard. The mouse hand especially begins to feel like a partially frozen fish flopping back and forth between the keyboard and mouse.
First, note that I am the president of the Chili-Willi Foundation and for some reason winter always comes early for me. I’m also the president of the Grouchy Consumer Club and I am skeptical about products that seem too good to be true. But I really wanted something for my cold dead-fish hand and stumbled upon the Warm Mouse, Mouse Hand Warmer and Warm Keyboard Pad. I tried this trio out for a test drive. All of these devices rely on USB interfaces for their energy.
Warm Mouse III
This is an ergonomic type of optical mouse, slightly angled. Has the normal PC mouse buttons and scroller, as well as a velocity button and on/off switch for the heat. No software was needed for the install. I just plugged it in and was doubly surprised: First, it warmed up in about 30 seconds, and secondly, it became pleasantly warm. I was expecting it to be a wimpy lukewarm since that is how most “heated” gadgets (like the indoor inflatable spa, ahem) are manufactured these days — not enough heat. But the mouse lived up to its hype. Check one off for a product that works the way that it is supposed to.
The Warm Mouse III is a little bigger than I’d prefer, but ValueRays also carries the Warm Mouse I, which is a more traditional shape. I might buy Mouse I next, but in the meantime I got used to the Mouse III and found that it moves fine, scrolls fine, and warms up especially fine. I even turned it’s heat off one day.
Mouse Hand Warmer
While I am now seriously addicted to the heat that the mouse provides, the upper part of my hand still becomes chilled (though it no longer turns purple). I kind of knew that would happen so I was really hoping the Mouse Hand Warmer ($19.95) would finish thawing out my scales. The Hand Warmer is like a fleece sleeping bag for your mouse, mouse pad, and hand. It has a non-slick bottom (so it won’t slide around on your desk) and it too is a plug-n-play USB device. (The photo shows the warmer without its removable USB cord.) It warms up, though not as much as the mouse.
The main issue I had with the Hand Warmer is that it lies flat. I tend to bounce back and forth between the keyboard and mouse – sometimes in a frenetic (ok, neurotic) manner. It’s too awkward for me to go from typing on the keyboard and then switching to the mouse for another task and having to dive into the Hand Warmer. But I wanted this thing to work. So I rigged a frame out of a coat hanger to hold it open, somewhat resembling a pup tent and that seems to work.
But the hanger sometimes gets in the way and it is klunky to set it up. If I were selling the Hand Warmer, I’d think seriously about providing some type of bendable, internal frame that allows the user to either keep the warmer flat or open. One other warning about the Warmer: ValueRays sell a non-USB version of the warmer and it is easy when shopping for the device to choose the wrong one; so be careful if you want to order the heated version.
Warm Keyboard Pad
The Warm Keyboard Pad ($19.95) works too and its purpose is to provide some heat to the non-mouse hand. It’s a standard keyboard pad but with a removable (via zipper) jacket and non-skid bottom. Removing the jacket reveals the infrared heat pad.
I don’t usually use a keyboard pad so I couldn’t really get used to it, but if I were a keyboard pad user I think I’d quickly become addicted to this heated version. I wish I were a keyboard pad user now that I think of it.
Instead, though, I scavenged the heating element from the keyboard pad, split open the back of the Hand Warmer and shoved the heating pad into the Hand Warmer. As I said, I want this to work. And I get very cold.
All in all, the Warm Mouse and friends are keepers. The outer part of the mouse hand can still be cold so the Hand Warmer is a nice complement. It is even nicer with a frame to keep it open and a second heater element. The keyboard pad heater is also a great sidekick for those who use keyboard pads.
Final note: While afflicted with low cold tolerance, I do not have arthritis in my hand or wrist, nor car-pool tunnel syndrome, but I did discuss these products with an office mate who does. He has an ergonomic mouse similar to the Warm Mouse III and he said it (the angled-type of mouse) is much more comfortable than the traditional flat mouse. So if you do have these maladies, this mouse may offer some help for you in that respect. He didn’t seem particularly excited about the idea of the Warm Mouse or Hand Warmer (he uses a tiny sliding mouse tray that the warmer would not fit on), but he says his hand gets stiff and cold and was interested in the Warm Mouse Pad. I think that will be my next purchase too. Something new to report at the next Chili Willi meeting.
I think I am on my laptop more than I am not. I am always doing something on it. Either some type of research, playing a video game, doing stuff related to my blogs or playing a game, lol. Yeah, I play a lot of games. It only makes sense that I am using my mouse alot. I honestly thought my current mouse was ok. I mean it serves it purpose. Unfortunately sometimes my hand and fingers get a little sore but I thought that was normal. But it's not and I did not realize that there is such a better choice out there. Recently I was sent the ValueRays® Pink Warm Computer Mouse III to review. Right away you can tell this mouse is different. It is not super tiny and cute. Actually it is a bit oversized and pink. The pink mouse is ValueRays way of supporting the fight against cancer.
This mouse is really nice. I plugged it up and did not have to install any special drivers or anything. It is truly plug and play. I love the way it feels in my hand too. I am able to rest my hand on the mouse without holding it too tight. I don't know why I do that. I guess I can get really intense when online. Another thing I noticed is my hand is tilted to the right instead of straight on and flat. That position feels really comfortable. Now I have to tell you about one of the best features of this mouse. It warms up! No kidding. I suffer from "cold hands" and this is perfect for me. It does not get so hot that it burns you but it uses an infared heat that feels so good.
I don’t know about others that live up north like I do but I am a sufferer of cold hands. In the fall and winter especially. Or when I am on my computer typing I just get cold hands. I had no idea there were actually mice and keyboards that WARM your hands while you use them! ValueRays carries heated mice, keyboard pads, mouse pads, and usb and non usb hand warmers. They sent me this pink heated mouse. This one is special because a portion of each purchase of the Pink ValueRays® Warm Mouse III will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Fight Against Cancer!
Personally I love the design because its one of those ergonomic ones, which I LOVE. I used to have one and it died on me a couple years back and I haven’t liked any other mouse ever since. There is an adjustable switch to pick your temp. I just love how its so natural in my hand and its not a little mouse either. I am big on raising awareness for Breast cancer so the fact that its pink adn has a ribbon on it makes my day. It would be perfect to have a mouse for my left hand to keep it warm too, LOL!
The Pink ValueRays® Warm Mouse III retails for $29.99 and you can buy one right from the ValueRays site!
I am totally in love with Value Rays products! Living in Colorado the weather can get very cold in the winter and my poor wrist, fingers and hands can suffer at the keyboard when I'm trying to work. Yes, the Arthritis gene has been passed down from my father to me and it's no fun believe me. But thanks to Value Rays products I am able to spend a great deal more time doing what I love best. Being online.
Value Rays sent me this lovely Warm Mouse III pink mouse to try. Don't you just love the color?! And what a perfect time to do it too, being that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a cause I support. From October through the Holidays Value Rays is giving partial proceeds for each Warm Mouse III sold as a donation to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life Cancer Walk. And what a perfect gift it would make for any woman or teen daughter for Christmas as it sends the message to find a cure for cancer and also reminding women to check their breasts daily with it's pink color and ribbon symbol on top. Now is a great time to get one while they are on sale for only $29.95!
The Warm Mouse III's ergonomic shape is very comfortable to have in the hand and the multi function buttons and scroll wheel are fabulous to work with. The large ergo shape mouse sits at a slight upward inside angle that feels more comfortable for the hand than the normal flat mouse positioning of other computer mouse you may find. It has a relaxed feel to it when I'm using it. With the mouse I had used before I had to grip the mouse with my pinking finger on the right and it made my hand ache, but I don't have to grip the mouse at all with the Warm Mouse III so it saves me from a lot of pain I don't need. It's just a smooth natural feel and movement to the hand.
But the thing I love the most is the massaging infrared heat for my poor hands and fingers. The infrared heat is a deep penetrating heat that goes right to the muscles of the hand. Using the infrared heat for 20-30 minutes is all it takes and I love the convenient shut off button located right at the mouse so I don't have to go digging for cords or switch to another mouse which would not make sense at all. Value Rays has thought of everything in this design and I am so happy to be using it right now! I can't tell you how many times I would have to take a day or two break when my hand would get to hurting with the old mouse. The Value Rays Warm Mouse III is a life saver!
The only thing I could wish for would be a longer cord, but that's just for my preference. The infrared heat and ergo design are going to be the major plus factors here. Thank you Value Rays for helping me this cold winter season coming up.

As a journalist, I work at a desk all day writing articles. Recently, I began to develop pain in my wrists, and I knew I had to take action to reduce the strain from using a keyboard all day. One of things I began looking into was getting an ergonomic wrist rest to put on my desk. I had a chance to review ValueRays® HEATED Computer Keyboard Pad, and it's become a permanent fixture in my office. The pad is powered by your USB port, and it begins to heat up as soon as you plug it in. I was amazed by not only how much heat it can produce, but how quickly it heats up - it reaches its full temperature in seconds. The heat is very soothing and feels nice as you're typing. At first it felt a little awkward to have my keyboard pushed further back, but I soon got used to it; and having a comfortable place to rest my hands makes a difference. If I take the pad away and start typing without it, I can immediately feel more strain in my wrists - I couldn't do without having a pad for support now that I know how much better it feels. Just using one product won't eliminate my repetitive stress pains; I have also begun doing wrist and arm stretches throughout the workday, as well as purchasing an ergonomically designed mouse. But it's important to make your workspace as comfortable as possible, and this keyboard pad has helped to reduce my discomfort. And of course, if you are suffering from any sort of pain, numbness, or other physical problem, consult with a medical professional immediately for treatment before embarking on any lifestyle changes.
Do you have cold hands while to type away at the keyboard and use your mouse? I would ask you to raise your hand but it is probably too cold to do that! This review is for all of the cold handed folks like me ... you know who you are!
I was recently introduced to ValueRays and their USB Mouse Hand Warmer. It was described to me as an electric blanket for your mouse hand. I honestly couldn't wrap my head around that but I knew I had freezing colds and was willing to give it a try. So it showed up and I carried it into the office and plugged it into my docking station for my laptop. After just a minute or so it started to heat up. I thought "ohhhh I get it now." It slide my hand into the pocket and use my mouse around. I was able to do everything that I normally do with my mouse hand. The difference was that my hand was toasty warm. I realized that day, I don't do all mouse work though. I rapidly switch between type and scrolling in my daily work. So I had this nice warm Mouse Hand Warmer sitting here and my hands were chilly typing away. I got my thinking cap on and folded the Mouse Hand Warmer in half and put it in front of my keyboard. I get to enjoy the warmth in my wrists and then when I take a break to read, I just move my hands back to the warm part. So I am not using it exactly as it was made to use but I do love.
I am thinking some of the other products from ValueRays might end up my Christmas list such as the Heated Keyboard Pad!
So why did I review this product? This review is because I have cold hands and it hard to have cold hands as you sit and type. That is the only reason I did this review.
Would I recommend this product? I sure would! The fact that another item from Value Rays is going on my personal Christmas list should be enough of a testament of that recommendation!
You can buy the Mouse Hand Warmer or the other hand warming products at warm-mouse-heated-keyboard.com.
Now that the weather is getting colder, my hands are freezing while I work at the computer. A couple of months ago, I came across a company that makes several products to help you stay warm while you sit there and surf the net, blog, pay bills, and so on. I know many of us spend hours at the computer, and our hands can get pretty uncomfortable.
ValueRays® WARM Mouse by Warm Mouse Heated Keyboard is an ergonomic optical mouse that comes equipped with a source of infrared heat. The mouse plugs in a USB port and has an on/off button for the heat, so it can be used as a regular mouse as well. It provides a cost-effective and energy-efficient way to keep your mouse hand warm. The wiring is low, 5V, safe for computers and people.
I love using the warm mouse and the cozy warmth it generates. The infrared heat decreased my discomfort from spending long hours using the mouse. I've heard about infrared heat therapy being used by physical therapists to relax muscles and speed up healing of injuries. Here is some more information about infrared heat from the Warm Mouse, Heated Keyboard's website:
"USB heated warm mouse, heated keyboard pad, mouse hand warmer and heated warm mouse pad are made using a carbon fiber. Carbon fibers generate infrared heat. Infrared heat is a healing heat. It's the same type of heat generated by the infrared rays of the sun without the harmful UV rays. The warmth of Infrared heat provides a deep penetrating heat that is relaxing and removes tension and stress due to muscle strain, poor circulation and other conditions which cause hands to hurt and become cold. Infrared heat is also detoxifying."
The ValueRays® WARM Mouse is ideal for people with cold hands and for just about anyone who spends long hours with a mouse in hand. It would make a great gift, too.
I am totally in love with Value Rays products right now. First there was the Heated Mouse Pad and now there is the Warm Keyboard Pad. The Warm Keyboard Pad uses a USB cord to send infrared heat to your wrists, arms, hands or elbows as you work on the computer keyboard. The pad is made of soft foam in an ergonomic pad to support you wrists while working at the keyboard and offering needed infrared heat to keep the wrists and hands warm so they do not get stiff and cause pain. For those with carpel tunnel, or arthritis the Warm Keyboard Pad gives such relief that you be able to keep working even on the coldest of days. The low 5v infrared carbon fiber heating element sends temperatures of 99 to 104 to your wrists to help keep them warm and the pad measures 17 1/2" long, 3" wide and 1" high.
Another great feature of the Warm Keyboard Pad is the on/off switch right on the cord. It makes it very handy so you don't have to go searching through cords to unplug the right one. Just unplug it right at the wrist pad which is so much more convenient and that way you can use the pad with or with out heat. The pad is covered in a removable nylon sport fabric that can be hand washed and dried when needed. The bottom of the pad has a non stick surface so it won't slide all over your desk top. I know I am going to love using this this winter.
We already know that Fall is on the way and Winter will soon follow. Just think how great this will be to have on hand on those cold winter days when you know you will have to work at the computer.
Thanks to Warm Mouse-Heated Keyboard I had the opportunity to try out ValueRays® Warm Mouse and I must say, I'm looking forward to using it during the cold months. My mouse hand usually stays cold to the point of numbness during the winter months. Although my hand was not cold at the time I was using Warm Mouse, it was a bit achy and I found the heat gave me relief. The infrared heat was delivered to the palm area and quickly warmed up my hand, easing the aching. I didn't need to keep it on very long at any single time. ValueRays® Warm Mouse is an ergonomically designed two button mouse with a scroll wheel and is USB powered with a convenient on/off switch right on the cable for the infrared heat. Other features include:
* Carbon fiber heating element
* Warms the hand with a comfortable 99-104 degrees Farhenheit temperature
* Uses a low voltage (5V) and is safe for people and the computer
* Improved 800 DPI scrolling Heated Warm Mouse
* Requires no drivers or software
* Easy plug & play installation
* ROHS & CE Certified
Other USB infrared heated products available in addition to the heated mouse include the Warm Mouse Pad, Warm Keyboard Pad and USB Mouse Hand Warmer®. Also available is a non USB Mouse Hand Warmer®.
Visiting the Learning Center, I learned a lot of interesting things about infrared heat and how it's used to provide relief for many diseases, such as arthritis. Infrared heat can also be used to help prevent the onset of such things as carpal tunnel. There is also a video overview of the products here.
Eventually, I'll probably end up using what Warm Mouse-Heated Keyboard calls their Designer Computer Mouse House, the trio of products that includes the Warm Mouse, Warm Mouse Pad and the Mouse Hand Warmer® (non USB). I can see where the different applications would be useful.
“Our USB hand warmers are infrared heaters and provide "infrared heat" therapy for computer users with hand pain and cold hands. ValueRays® USB infrared heated warm mouse, heated mouse pad, heated keyboard pad and Mouse Hand Warmer® provide deep healing infrared heat for the cold mouse hand and cold keyboard hands. ValueRays® Mouse Hand Warmer gets Bragging Rights!
I am hot natured, always have been, however in the winter and in overly air-conditioned buildings, I do get cold hands and feet and have to keep socks on. The one issue I have is it's hard to type and maneuver a mouse with bulky gloves on. My hands have always just stayed cold.
Wouldn't it be neat if there was an electric blanket for your mouse hand? There is now, thanks to ValueRays®. The new ValueRays® USB Mouse Hand Warmer® is USB heated. It's easy to have toasty fingers. You just slip your favorite computer mouse and mouse pad inside the Mouse Hand Warmer® blanket pouch. It is compatible with an USB mouse or a wireless mouse.
I received one to try out and found it very easy to use. The amount of heat was just right and I can see me using this a lot in the winter. I have friends and former co-workers who wear coats and keep heaters under their desks all year long since some office buildings tend to be overly cool. I think this would be a wonderful stocking stuffer, secret Santa gift or birthday gift for a friend of family member. My husband just mentioned that at the company he works for they no longer allow heaters under desks due to fire risks and the amount of electricity they use. I bet the ValueRays® USB Mouse Hand Warmer® would be a big hit in that situation.
Check out the ValueRays® website at http://www.warm-mouse-heated-keyboard.com/. While you're there, check out their Warm Mouse, Heated Mouse Pad and Heated Keyboard Pad as well. So, I always know when I have been at the computer for WAY TOO LONG--how do I know this? When my hand and fingers get cold:) It seems like it never fails...it can be in the summer or winter as my home office is in the basement.
Thanks to Warm Mouse-Heated Keyboard, my little fingers will be cold no longer. This little "electric blanket" for your hand is quite convienvent; simply plug in the USB cord into your computer and the hand warmer uses energy directly from your computer. I also love the fact that it has non-slip grips on the bottom so that your mouse doesn't move all over the place.

In the wintertime, when I am doing my work, I take over the couch. I have my corner of the couch where I cozy up in my heated blanket and laptop. How does the heating work? According to the ValueRays® website, “The carbon heating element is located inside the blanket’s double-faced fleece blanket. I spend a lot of time at the computer, and sometimes it seems like my hand is permanently glued to the mouse. Often, my fingers feel stiff and cold - especially during the winter. Even now, with the air conditioning on, my hands get uncomfortable when I've been clicking away for a while. So, I was excited to try out the ValueRays® USB Mouse Hand Warmer.
The ValueRays Mouse Hand Warmer is a 12x12" pouch that can fit comfortably just about any mouse pad and mouse. The pouch is fleece on the top and has a non-slip bottom side with net opening to facilitate clear optical connection with a wireless mouse. For people like me who use a USB-connected mouse, it is recommended to cut a small slit into the mesh and pass the mouse cable through there.
The mouse hand warmer connects to your computer via a USB port and uses electricity generated by your PC. Once you connect the USB cable, there is no need to crawl behind your PC every time you want to unplug it - there is an easy disconnect right next to the pouch so you can turn off the heating device when not in use. The heat is infrared and the wiring is low, 5V, safe for computers and people.
The pouch felt like a soft, warm blanket on my hand, and I liked the cozy feeling. The infrared heat decreased my discomfort from spending long hours using the mouse. I remember reading about infrared heat therapy being used by physical therapists to relax muscles and speed up healing of injuries.
The pouch can be hand-washed and air-dried - just be careful not to wash the cord or the USB connector.
The Mouse Hand Warmer is ideal for people with cold hands and for just about anyone who spends long hours with a mouse in hand. It would make a great gift, too.
In addition to the Mouse Hand Warmer, Warm Mouse Heated Keyboard offers a variety of ValueRays hand warmer products, such as a mouse, mouse pad, keyboard pad, and two- to five-piece sets that include everything your computer hands may need to feel warm.

ValueRays® WARM Computer Keyboard Pad
Since childhood, I’ve been cold blooded. Everyone else is running around with shorts and t-shirts and I’m running around with a light weight sweater and a pair of pants. I’ve been told my thermostat is broken many times. I’ve had the chance to try the warm mouse by ValueRays. I’m more then thrilled to say it’s a wonderful invention.
The mouse arrived in less then a week packed inside a box to protect it during the shipping. When I opened the box I was thrilled theirs no annoying software to install in my computer. The warm mouse differs from other mice, it keeps your hands warm while you surf the internet. So all I had to do is plug in the warm mouse and I was off to surfing the web. The mouse is black and silver; it has a switch to turn the heat off and on. Having a switch to control the heat allows you to turn the heat off when you don’t need it. The mouse is ergonomically designed for proper support of your hand and wrist. The bottom of the mouse lights up reddish orange, which my daughter thought was cool. I think the mouse is a great invention for people with pain in their hands or cold hands in general. I’ve been dealing with pain and stiffness in my hand day after day, so I’m glad to have the extra heat to warm up my hand and wrist.
To make the review fair I asked another person check out the mouse. .
What did you think of the mouse?
“The heat was nice for my arthritic hands and takes the stiffness out of my hand. I use to have a lot numbness and tingling in the hand and now I don’t since I’ve been checking out the mouse”
Would you buy one for your own use?
“Yes, I would consider buying one especially with winter around the corner”
Are there any other things you would like to say about the mouse?
“I wish they made them years ago.”
All in all I would say I’ve really enjoyed this mouse and look forward to putting it to good use. Now, I have to check out the Warm Mouse pad, Warm Keyboard Pad, USB Mouse Hand Warmer and the Mouse Hand Warmer. Problem is I don’t know which one to purchase first.
No matter the season, sometimes our mornings here can be down right chilly. This can make anytime I spend on the computer uncomfortable, at times even painful. The USB Mouse Hand Warmer eliminates this problem for me by keeping my hand toasty warm while I happily blog hop and check emails. Simple to use; this electric blanket pouch plugs into a USB port, allowing the infrared heater to work its magic, making for a low energy, cost-effective solution to your frigid mouse hand.
Aside from its practical uses the Mouse Hand Warmer also has many benefits for therpeutic relief. Whether your problems stem from Arthritis or Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, to Cumulative Truma Disorder or Repetitive Strain Injury - even just poor circulation ... having ergonomic and heated computer accessories is a good practice. There is plenty of information available at ValueRays' Learning Center area as well. Here's a little info about infrared heat from the site:
"Infrared heat removes toxins from the blood and improves blood circulation. Studies show 20-30 minutes of infrared heat therapy daily can have positive results. Infrared heat is known to heal stiff joints and sore muscles making it ideal for many people with arthritis. Infrared heat penetrates deep through the skin's layers through the blood expanding blood vessels to enable blood flow. When blood flows easily, poor circulation is improved. Poor circulation is most-likely the top cause of cold hands and fingers. Not all people suffer with cold hands when using the computer, but if you do, or if you know someone who does, using infrared heat computer gadgets may solve the cold hand problem."
The USB Mouse Hand Warmer is a nice and cozy solution for cold mouse hands. It is hand washable and air dryable in case you happen to read something hilarious and spit coffee all over it. Or so I would imagine -- that's never happened to me, nope. What a great gift to give someone you care about! One of Mat's long time buddies suffers when he's at the computer too long, even with an ergonomic keyboard and mouse. I'm assuming all thanks to a combination many many hours of college thesis writing, working long hours at the keyboard, and then throwing in some MMO and FPS gaming. Yep, that'll do it! I suggested that Mat spread the warmth so to speak and inform his friend of these great products. I think they very well might be just what he needs!
The ValueRays® USB Mouse Hand Warmer® is great for cold hands. This is the first time that I have used something like this. I loved the warm comfortable feeling when I put my hand inside. The opening is wide and my hand fit in easily. This would have been very helpful to me this past winter. My hands were so cold because the front of my house was not receiving the same amount of heat as the back. When I was using the computer I had to stop and rub my hands to warm them up. I know that I would have been very happy to have a way to warm my hands quickly and easily and not have to wait before using my mouse or keying. The technology behind ValueRays® USB Mouse Hand Warmer® is safe because it is a healthy, deep healing, infrared heat therapy. I like it because the warmth that you feel is not hot, it is very comfortable.
So you are probably not thinking about cold hands now, but before we know it winter will be here. I don’t know what it is but at night, especially when the nights get colder, my hands become numb because they are so cold. I rub them together and try to warm them up, but eventually I give up and just go to bed because my hand is too cold to work my house. Maybe it is my circulation or maybe it is because my hand isn’t really moving to be warmed up.
So when I was contacted by ValueRays to review their Warm Mouse Pad, I was thrilled. The mouse pad works as a regular mouse pad, but is made up of a carbon fiber infrared heating element to generate heat on the smooth surface. The temperature ranges between 99-104 degrees for warming your wrist and hand. It plugs into a USB port on your computer and as a bonus it has 4 USB ports on it! I love that! I mean between my digital camera, printer, iPod, external hard drive, keyboard, and other accessories, I can never have enough USB ports – especially USB 2.0 ports which are faster.
ValueRays products are so innovative and unique, you can’t go wrong. They are energy efficient and cost effective ways of providing you with warmth and infrared heat. They also are not burning hot, but warm enough to keep you comfortable, I liked this because I didn’t have to worry about my sons touching it. Their products are driverless (no installation discs to worry about) and easy to install, just plug and play! I can't wait to use this mousepad when it starts getting cold, but right now it was still nice!
Value Rays features:
• Free Shipping
• No Sales Tax
• 90 Day Warranty
Another one of their products is their Mouse Hand Warmer Blanket Pouch. This is a USB heated mouse cover, like a electric blanket for your hand. It provides a low, steady heat with a carbon fiber heating element sewn inside the double layer of fleece.
About 5 years ago I was diagnosed with a condition called Raynaud's. The condition causes blood to not flow properly to fingers, toes and other parts of the body. I do take medication for it, but my hands and feet are still cold a lot of the time.
You will find me in socks most all of the time no matter the temperature, and I can't go into the freezer without my fingers turning white so I either have to get another family member to get things out or I have to wear gloves. Of the things I most enjoy doing, many of them are stationed right here at my computer.
Those would be surfing the Internet, blogging and playing World of Warcraft. But having my hand positioned on the mouse all day to do those activities is not comfortable with the loss of blood flow to them, and by the end of the day my hand is extremely achy or numb. When I was offered the chance to try an Infrared Ray product from Warm Mouse Heated Keyboards I was eager to try it. Infrared Rays are capable of penetrating deep into the human body where they elevate surface temperature and activate healthy body functions. I chose the ValueRays® Warm Mouse Pad.
Then this arrived at my door, I opened it quickly and set it up right away. Two usb plugs are needed to use it. One for the four additional usb hubs on the mouse pad to work and one to activate the heat. The instructions noted to plug the red marked usb cable in to activate the infrared rays to heat the mouse pad, but mine weren't marked. It isn't rocket science though, so it was easy to figure out which cable did what. I am fortunate to have two usb outlets on my keyboard so I didn't even have to get under my desk and behind my computer tower to plug anything in.
This mouse pad really has kept my hand warm while using it. It has a wrist rest on it is as well to ergonomically help you keep a healthy position for your wrist while using your mouse. I've tried using a wrist rest in the past and honestly never felt comfortable using one. The same went for this one. However, I like the heating of the pad so much and it has helped soothe the pain in my hand, so I simply turned the mouse pad 90 degrees to its side and I use it like that. Works great for me that way!
The pad heats up within a few minutes and then stays at a temperature between 99 and 104 degrees after that point. It can get rather hot to the touch so make sure if you have young children around to keep it away from them when it is plugged in.
The four extra USB hubs on this mouse pad are a great bonus and make it easy to connect devices when needed right on your desktop.
This is the perfect device (think gifts here!) for anyone who suffers from conditions like mine (Raynaud's), Arthritis, and Carpal Tunnel to just name a few. Perhaps you are someone who just gets a "cold mouse hand" in winter, again perfect to resolve that issue. Free Shipping and No Sales Tax sweetens the deal!
Speaking of cold hands and computer mice, Warm Mouse Heated Keyboard also sells a ValueRays® Mouse Hand Warmer. This product is a heated mouse cover - an USB mini electric blanket for the mouse hand. It is a low, steady heat with a carbon fiber infrared heating element sewn inside the double layer of fleece.
I was extremely excited to see ValueRays@ USB Mouse Hand Warmer when it first came on the market. I just knew this was for me. This last winter my hands and fingers would get so cold at the computer that I could barely move my fingers. I spend a lot of hours at the computer and the arthritis and fibromyalgia can get bad. So I just had to try ValueRays@ Mouse Hand Warmer and tell you what I found.
First of all it was so easy to set up. Just insert your mouse pad and mouse inside the cozy blanket, position it on your desk how you want it and plug it in using the USB connection to your computer. It is a cozy pouch that your mouse pad and mouse fit into with plenty of room for your hand to move around while you are working at the computer. The bottom of the Mouse Hand Warmer has a non skid surface so it won't be sliding all over your desktop, while the top is a cozy fleece blanket with a carbon fiber infrared heating element sewn inside the two layers of fleece. Fabulous for those with arthritis. And it will work with any mouse. No matter if your mouse uses a USB connection or is wireless like mine. It measure 12" X 12" so it will fit just about any size mouse pad you have. There is also a safe disconnect plug so you can unplug the mouse warmer when you aren't using it right at the top of the Mouse Hand Warmer. Which is handier than having to fish around computer wires to unplug it. Very convenient!
I was very impressed by the overall design and quality and it's very cost effective using a low 5v wiring which draws heat from your computer to warm you and the handy unplug feature is fabulous. Not to mention that it's washable! Just hand wash and hang dry.
My husband is constantly making fun of me for being so cold all the time! It could be 80 degrees outside and I would be the one freezing! I find that I am the most cold when I am working on the computer though. Our main computer is located in the kitchen on a very cold floor. I also sit right next to the air vent for the air conditioner. I generally am in a sweat shirt, long pants, and thick socks even in the summer time. But, now, my hands can stay warm thanks to the Warm Keyboard Pad from ValueRays!
I originally thought, and still think that this could be a really great Father's Day gift, but the more I think about it, the more I think women every where will appreciate this! As much time as the general public spends in front of the computer, it is nice to have something that will help keep you comfortable. The Warm Keyboard Pad is exactly what it says, an infrared heated pad to rest your wrist and hands on while typing.
The Warm Keyboard Pad is extremely easy to use. It works by plugging into the USB port of your computer. Once it is in it INSTANTLY starts to work! I felt heat within 2 seconds. I love that it stays at a nice comfortable temperature so that I am not over heated. The foam is soft and the pad is ergonomically designed to offer comfort to your busy wrists! I can see this also being very beneficial to those who suffer with carpel tunnel syndrome. The bottom of the pad is non skid. It also offers a zipper closure so that it is easily washed.
The Warm Keyboard retails for about $24.95 and is on sale right now for $19.95. This would be a pretty inexpensive gift for dad that I'm sure he probably doesn't already have!

I am a late night blogger. Usually while my family sleeps, I am bringing you the coolest and and most useful products for women and moms. Without the hustle and bustle of children and chores, I get to slow down and take a break to focus on Pink & Posh. The only disadvantage to this comes from my post-children hormonal reactions. Since having my babies, when I relax, I get cold. I know....weird, right? Well, now I have found a bit of a solution to this. Warm Mouse Heated Keyboard is a company that specializes in computer accessories made especially for people like me who are oddly cold-natured or even for those who have hand pain. I am very happy with my heated mouse. It is a little strange to have a warm mouse. At first thought, I felt like something was electically wrong when the mouse was warming. But when I reassured my self-conscience that everything was okay, I began to enjoy the warmth for my hand. It is a steady heat that doesn't get too hot and it was really convenient to have the on/off switch for times when my hands aren't cold. Now I just need to get my cold hands on some of the other heated products that Warm Mouse, Heated Keyboard offers like the ValueRays® Warm Keyboard Pad , the ValueRays® Warm Mouse Pad, or the Mouse Hand Warmer® (Non-USB).

Looking for a gift idea? A ValueRays® Warm Mouse is a perfect gift idea.
Why is it that I didn’t know that other people suffer from “cold mouse hand”, too?! My right hand is ALWAYS freezing. My fingers are always like Popsicles. I thought it was just me, but apparently I am wrong! I recently came across a website totally dedicated to cold mouse hand! A website with a SOLUTION to it as well!
Feed Your Pig has partnered with ValueRays to bring you a great solution to this problem! ValueRays makes several products that are so unique! The ValueRays Warm Keyboard Pad, ValueRays Warm Mouse, and ValueRays Warm Mouse Blanket all simply plug into your USB port to give you great infrared heat while you use your computer! This is super great for sufferers of arthritis, poor circulation, and pain in general in the hand and arm! Heat relaxes your muscles! Besides, who likes a cold hand? I know I hate it. Check out some of the pictures below to see what I’m talking about!
I honestly thought my "mouse hand" always being cold was something in my head. My hands tend to be cold anyway but the whole cold mouse hand...well yeah, I thought it was just me.
Apparently not though as there is a whole line of products to help relieve the cold mouse hand syndrome. Warm Mouse, Heated Keyboard, products have some of the most unique computer accessories I've seen. They have keyboard pads, mouse pads and 'mice' that use infrared heat to not only warm but soothe and relax your muscles and help to relieve hand pain.
I received the ValueRays® Mouse Hand Warmer to review. I plugged it in and within minutes I could I could feel the warmer working. It's not hot or uncomfortable. Not even as warm as a heating pad would get...just...cozy warm?
I've used it several times since receiving it and while I do really like it...it's better to use if you're just surfing the net. Switching from keyboard to mouse when working on various projects, though not horribly inconvenient...but it's not as easy as just grabbing the mouse and clicking. I have to slide my hand back in the pouch, which requires looking away from what I'm doing. A whole second more of my time...but, well yeah, you see what I mean.
All in all I like the product, I like the concept. And I do use this when I'm just surfing but I think the ValueRays® Warm Mouse I would actually work better for me and the way I work.
I do have one ValueRays® Mouse Hand Warmer to give away to one lucky Fairy Blog Mother reader.
My hands usually are always cold, so when I heard about the heated products offered at ValueRays, I was quite interested in what they had to offer!
I’m free lance graphic designer and mom blogger so I do a lot of work on my computer on daily basis. As a designer, I use my mouse a lot. Some people draw by hand and scan, others use a Wacom tablet but I on the other hand use just my mouse to draw, so my mouse and mouse pads see a lot of wear and tear ( I’ve gone through three mouses one year and wore out several mouse pads) .
I like to be comfortable when I am pouring ours into my work and with the Warm Mouse Pad I was able to review, I was nothing but. I found my hands not becoming stiff from working long hours, and felt more comfortable working on my art than I ever had before!
Let me tell you a bit about the ValueRays® WARM Mouse Pad I reviewed. I’ve been using this mouse pad with my laptop which is running windows Vista. The installation was easy as all of their USB products are driver less and use universal plug and play. It’s so nice to plug it and already be ready to go. This is good if you want to use it on multiple computers. I go from my main computer to my laptop on a regular basis so it’s nice to move it around though I may just get another one soon!
The added features other than the heating unit that I like are the 4 extra USB ports! My laptop only had two before so using my Ipod, webcam, and other accessories was completely out of the question unless I went out and bought a hud! I also like the built on wrist pad! I’m picky when I work on the computer, I must have wrist pads for both my keyboard and my mouse pad, its an added bonus that one is already part of this mouse pad!
The heating unit is wonderful! The temperature ranges between 99-104 degrees for warming your wrist and hand. I can unplug at anytime I so choose on the heating unit to save energy! The infrared heat helps improve blood circulation and can help in reducing the onset of computer-related hand injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome and other mouse hand and arm diseases.
ValueRays cost effective energy saving products are one of a kind and I highly recommend them to those of you who use the computer regularly! You can find not only mouse pads but mouses, key board pads, and more!
